WAFU Sound Works
WAFU Sound Works makes Japanese game music packs for indie developers: koto, shakuhachi, shamisen, taiko, sho and temple bells, arranged for the scenes a game actually needs (title, village, battle, boss, the road, the safe room, the morning after) rather than as a mood playlist. Every pack is twelve tracks in two takes per scene, each as a full version and a seamless loop, in WAV 48 kHz / 16-bit and OGG, with levels matched across the whole catalogue so packs from different volumes sit together in one game. Most volumes also include one-shot cues (stingers, UI sounds, bells, weather) cut as separate files. 27 volumes so far: RPG, horror, survival horror, visual novel, cozy farming, ninja stealth, yokai fantasy, cyberpunk, lo-fi, festival, dungeon, puzzle, strategy, tactics, detective, fighting, boss battle, inn, city pop and card games. Several complete volumes are free. Honest note: the tracks are composed with generative AI (Suno, commercial plan) and are tagged CreatedWithAI. Take selection, scene design, loop engineering, level matching and cue editing are done by hand in Japan. Every instrument is Japanese; there is no erhu or guzheng standing in for koto.
